Summary

The position of Sales Representative exists to provide guidance and direction to our customer base throughout the equipment purchase process. This position is responsible for generating and increasing annual revenues while managing the equal distribution of sales to each of the direct sellers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct sales to the end user utilizing various manufacturers via phone, fax and e-mail. Task includes providing product information via e-mail, fax, and Federal Express. Information is provided to the end user after a detailed analysis is performed to determine overall customer needs and requirements.
  • Strive to equalize sales volume between the manufacturing sites
  • Prospects new customers through attending various national trade shows, industry networking, and leads generated through the Playcore web site, general mailbox, and data mining efforts.
  • Presents company product offerings to new and existing customers during on-site customer visitations or calls.
  • Evaluates current and future product offerings through a thorough understanding of a customers' needs and current market trends.
  • Analyzes competitive trends through interaction with the competition and potential Playcore customers.
  • Proactively networks with industry contractors, architects, and play and recreation consultants. This in accomplished through field visitations and continued phone contact.
  • Weekly monitoring and reporting of calls, orders, and sales by site to the VP/GM Marketing and Sales and the related companies.

Education and/or Experience
  • 4-year, bachelor's degree
Travel
  • Travel typically within the US for trade shows, business meetings and leadership development.
Computer Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as other computer/web-based programs sales ERP systems.
Other Requirements/Skills
  • Communication and telephone skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Great attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Internet, browsers, email systems
  • Previous sales experience in commercial play equipment, site-amenities or other sports/recreational-related environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Playcore brands / product lines (preferred)

  • Self-starter with tremendous initiative
