MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital is a community teaching hospital in northern Baltimore. Our ICU is a 17-bed mixed medical and surgical unit, where Critical Care APPs work autonomously but collaboratively with intensive care physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide emergent and urgent care to patients in critical conditions, including leading Rapid Response and Code Blue teams. We have a wonderful, supportive and collaborative team and are seeking an APP who will actively participate in daily rounds and will develop and implement a plan of care which is consistent with evidence-based medical standards and quality initiatives. The critical care APP will also lead the Code Team, participate in Rapid Response, and will also be called upon to perform critical care consultation for unstable patients which may require ICU upgrade on various units throughout the hospital. Essential job duties include:
Schedule: Full time (147 shifts/year). Full-time night shift. Approximately 2 weekends per month.
