Summary:

The Supervisor - Operations is responsible for leading a team of parts coordinators and warehouse operations personnel at our Odessa facility, as well as offering support at other facilities within the organization. Support daily operations, purchasing, internal job oversight with the field managers, warehouse personnel, and facility maintenance and monitoring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Under minimal supervision, perform tasks required for efficient operation of all functions in the facility, including working directly with the purchasing and warehouse personnel. Responsible for oversight of the daily duties of all personnel, assuring that goals and workloads are managed, and any required workload assistance will be managed through this position.
  • Recognizes operating inefficiencies and communicates with management to work together, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Recognize and address any equipment or facility issues and required repairs, communicate with management, and facilitate local vendors to assist.


* Responsibilities include organizing, planning, and directing activities to ensure the most efficient, safe, and economical manner consistent with customer service requirements and operating goals.

* Develops and implements new or improved operating techniques for increasing operational efficiency and reducing costs within his/her area of responsibility.

* Supervision includes interviewing, selecting, hiring, firing, directing work, disciplining, and/or completing performance appraisals. Responsible for participating in resolution of labor relations issues at location.



  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Requires mechanical and managerial aptitude.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information in SAP, Excel, Word and other operating platforms.
  • Physical capabilities of standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders and stairs, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
  • Monitors operations daily to maximize efficiency.
  • Plans and schedules work for warehouse employees.
  • Purchases materials for facility operations.
  • Assists with the monitoring of operating expenses and cost control.
  • Assists management with budgets.
  • Trains and develops the skills of existing and new employees.
  • Prepares reports as needed for management.
  • Develops and implements operating procedures.
  • Attends Safety meetings and is an active leader in safety programs.
  • Complies with company policies concerning regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in company-provided training.
  • Must possess great people skills.
  • Ability to delegate duties and assignments


Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 8+ years' general experience in the oil/gas industry or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Periodically take calls to relieve employees as needed

  • Past experience as a supervisor/lead
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience in a professional/office work environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong team and customer focus orientation
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience in computer skills with emphasis on SAP and Microsoft Office


Working Conditions:



  • Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions
  • Work may include confined spaces and may require heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Site visits requiring deliveries/inspections on and around equipment and facilities that require knowledge of and adherence to safe work procedures and practices
  • Subject to callouts to respond to operational issues and emergencies after working hours
  • Reliable attendance at work
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
