We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as Test Engineer (Junior to Craftsman) levels available at multiple locations (National Capital Region, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA, Offutt AFB, Base, NE and Kirtland AFB, NM)

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides full time support to all Testing activities regarding transition, prototyping and field evaluation of critical and emerging technologies and whole lifecycle test methodology during design, development, fielding and transition activities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:



  • Designs and builds test stations.
  • Writes test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluates the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications.
  • Gathers test data and evaluates the results of tests to determine if product designs and architecture meets customer specifications and performance expectations.
  • Develops test simulations to evaluate how products react under different conditions and analyzes product failure to assess the integrity and reliability of product performance.
  • Debugs test hardware and software.
  • Analyzes test cases and scenarios and reports results.
  • Collaborates with other engineering groups to improve or upgrade product performance
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience.
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve Group's products or services.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
  • Acts as a mentor or advisory resource for colleagues with less experience; may run small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
  • Conducts operational assessment, develops test plans, provides test reports and evaluates technology readiness levels based on performance in laboratory, modelling and operational environments.
  • Assists in conducting Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) and Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) across various domains, including RF, communication, power, and non-kinetic systems.
  • Supports the development of tailored Test Plans and Integrated Assessment Plans (IAPs) that align with operational goals.
  • Aids in data collection during in-field testing and contributes to the analysis of test results to update plans throughout the testing cycle.
  • Directly works with (Developer/Tester) and Leads to coordinate integration of systems into event and operational environments.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective integration of advanced technologies for training, wargaming and exercise events.
  • Conducts integration feasibility assessment through research of commercial and foreign capabilities for re-use in military applications.
  • Develops detailed test procedures and protocols that promote systematic and repeatable testing processes.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to establish test environments, including simulations, laboratories, and field test sites, facilitating accurate evaluations.
  • Prepares comprehensive test reports that detail methodologies, findings, and recommendations, providing clear communication of results to stakeholders


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related discipline.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements.


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor's degree in business related disciplines that focus on supply chain, purchasing and/or logistics or the related combination of education and experience that provides knowledge and exposure to the fundamental theories, principles and concepts within the specified discipline.

May be entry level for those with an advanced degree. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Active Secret required, TS/SCI preferred

TRAVEL: Up to 10%
