Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. Delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers. Summary: The IT Business Intelligence Analyst will support strategic IT planning and performance optimization for the C5I Department Head. This role is responsible for delivering IT-based strategies that enhance organizational processes, workflows, and service delivery. The ideal candidate brings a comprehensive background in information systems and excels at leveraging data, tools, and lifecycle management principles to inform decision-making and drive measurable improvements. This position is a temporary role with an initial duration of 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as a direct advisor to the C5I Department Head, offering data-driven insights and recommendations to streamline IT processes and improve operational effectiveness.
- Apply business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms to generate actionable insights across IT operations and performance metrics.
- Lead initiatives related to application lifecycle management, from planning and deployment to maintenance and retirement, ensuring alignment with mission requirements and user needs.
- Design and improve workflows, procedures, and user experiences by evaluating current practices and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and knowledge bases to support strategic decision-making and promote transparency.
- Integrate customer relationship management (CRM) principles into IT service delivery strategies to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
- Author technical documentation, job aids, and standard operating procedures that guide users and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, operations, and compliance to align business intelligence efforts with enterprise-wide goals.
- Support the adoption of knowledge management frameworks and ensure accessibility of up-to-date resources for C5I personnel.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with CRM systems, knowledge management tools, and IT service management (ITSM) platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, IT Strategist, or related role supporting information systems and enterprise IT environments.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level II Certification
- Such as CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), DoD, or DHS mission environments.
- Certifications such as ITIL v4, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), or PMP.
- Familiarity with federal enterprise architecture, application portfolio management (APM), and digital transformation practices.
