Daikin Applied is seeking a Sr. Manager of Corporate Strategy to join our Corporate Strategy team. This team is focused on developing long term profitable growth strategies and drives strategy development and deployment to ensure operational excellence. Location: Plymouth, MN (hybrid) What You Will Do: Strategy Development
- Develop long-term (5 year) profitable growth strategies by partnering with the executive team, business unit leadership and functional leadership; drive a strategic approach and way of thinking across the organization; develop and refine tools and templates to support long-term strategy development
- Understand the external market, industry trends, competitive landscape, technology disruptions, macroeconomic environment, etc. to drive an "outside-in" perspective as the foundation upon which we build strategies; disseminate information to the broader organization in an efficient and effective manner
- Drive the execution of high priority projects including new product, services and solutions strategies, operational improvement initiatives, etc. by bringing a strategic approach and framework to guide cross-functional teams; analyze data, develop insight and formulate actionable recommendations to senior leadership
Strategy Deployment
- Drive strategy deployment into the business by supporting the annual operating plan cadence; flow down corporate level strategies and priorities into the business units and functions by developing scorecards and metrics to ensure operational execution is aligned with long term strategic goals
- Lead monthly business review meeting to track performance relative to the annual operating plan scorecards; proactively develop insight and actionable recommendations to improve business performance where needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, strategy deployment or comparable role or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable insights and recommendations
- Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships across the organization
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus to drive toward decisions and actions
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience in an Industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience developing strategies for new products, services and solutions
The typical salary for this position ranges from $113,800.00 - $188,300.00 + bonus 20% - 25% in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
