Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced SCCM / MECM Packager to join our team of talented and mission-focused professionals supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of application packaging and deployment, ensuring optimal performance and consistency across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SCCM / MECM, with proven proficiency in both VBScript and PowerShell scripting, to support a complex and high-impact IT environment.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

    Create, stage, and deploy applications across an enterprise network of over 40,000 endpoints using SCCM / MECM.
  • Utilize packaging tools such as Flexera AdminStudio, InstallShield, and Wise Package Studio to develop, automate, and troubleshoot application installations.
  • Manage and resolve deployment failures through Software Center, addressing content distribution and client-side issues.
  • Execute phased deployment strategies through structured testing and production rollouts.
  • Maintain detailed process documentation and change control records to support audit-readiness and operational consistency.
  • Administer and troubleshoot multiple distinct SCCM / MECM environments simultaneously.
  • Apply root-cause analysis methodologies to diagnose and resolve application issues efficiently.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing best practices in packaging and deployment processes.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise policies, compliance standards, and configuration baselines.
  • Troubleshoot Configuration Manager issues related to application deployment, content distribution, and client devices.
  • Assist with constant process improvements


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience or Master's degree and 6 years' experience or Associated degree and 10 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years' experience.
  • Advanced expertise in SCCM / MECM focused on application packaging, software distribution, and deployment.
  • In-depth knowledge of installation technologies including MSI, MSIX, MST, and vendor-specific executables.
  • Experience with packaging solutions such as Wise Package Studio, AdminStudio, and similar tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, including advanced PowerShell scripting and VBScript-to-PowerShell conversion.
  • Hands-on experience managing SCCM / MECM features such as Collections, Deployments, Monitoring, Reporting, SQL Queries, and Client Troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex application and deployment issues.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
