Benefits Start after 30 days of employment.Duties include cylinder related activities (cylinder dock stock, cylinder inventory, cylinder cycle counts, will call customer cylinder movement, interbranch cylinder movement, interbranch cylinder paperwork, liquid filling, liquid cylinder maintenance, Propane cylinder maintenance, etc), dock security, other misc duties.

You will be responsible for the following tasks and other tasks as assigned:

  • Stocks, stores, labels, picks/packs and distributes materials and supplies.
  • Validates delivery of materials and provides a physical receipt.
  • Moving cylinders and VGL's at Customer's site
  • Responds to and solves customer complaints by deploying the necessary company resources
  • Adjusts inventory levels to accommodate customers seasonal demands
  • Place and process orders thru the AirGas.com/SAP system.
  • Performs periodic inventory of warehouse materials as directed.
  • Improves existing customer business practices through the use and management of Airgas Sales Specialists, vendor partners, current industry best practices, new products and other available resources.
  • Organizes and controls site warehouse inventoried items.
  • Reviews incoming and outgoing product invoices per Company policy.
  • Position drives to customer sites to service customer inventory.
  • Safely operates a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse/material handling equipment.
  • Follows appropriate Company policies and procedures (SOPs) as they relate to distribution, safety, etc.
  • Performs general site housekeeping duties as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred
  • Two years of prior experience in warehouse operations or warehouse maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License.
  • Strong background in gas, welding and safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred.
  • Prior experience operating a forklift preferred.
  • Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred

  • Must have a valid US Driver's License.

  • Required: Class B or higher Commercial Drivers' License with HAZMAT endorsement, clean MVR.

  • Physically capable of lifting 25-75 lbs. routinely and up to >100 lbs. occasionally. Able to handle liquid containers up to 1000 lbs.

  • Regular bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motion.

  • Comfortable with occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and fine motor tasks such as tightening ratchet binders.

  • Able to drive hazardous cargo up to 8 hours, work overtime if needed.

  • Preferred: 2 years' warehouse operations or maintenance experience.

  • Preferred: Background in gas, welding, safety supply, or chemical industries.

  • Previous forklift operation experience preferred.

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Capable of troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment.
