DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The primary function of this position is to conduct the hospital's investigations related to alleged and suspected patient abuse, and patient complaints and grievances. The work of this position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, organization, efficiency, objectivity, and timeliness. Our ideal candidate will be focused on providing excellent public service and will be deeply invested in unwaveringly supporting provision of effective care to the hospital's patients. We are looking for someone who possesses experience conducting large, dynamic, and complex investigations; experience evaluating compliance with regulatory requirements; experience developing corrective action plans which appropriately and effectively remedy deficiencies and sustain remediation; experience developing effective audit processes, audit tools, and data collection tools; and experience writing effective policies and procedures. Ideal skills for this position include stringent attention to detail; continuous application of critical thinking and problem-solving skills; proficient data organization, labelling, and analysis; the ability to effectively exercise initiative and independent judgement within the scope of authority; and aptitude for quickly and proficiently learning and employing new information, skills, and technology.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.
- Overtime and travel as necessary.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience as a member of a multiple disciplinary treatment team in a public or private health care facility and a bachelor's degree; or
- Two years of clinical experience in an human services agency, including one year of administrative, evaluative, or consultative experience in a health care program; and a bachelor's degree with major course work in social work, nursing, health care administration, behavioral sciences or a related field; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
