Cognizant is looking for a "Scrum Master "for developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.
Work Authorization: Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Education Details: BS or Equivalent
Must Have: Scrum Master
Job Location: Primary - Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid)

Roles & Responsibilities:
* Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
* Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices.
* Serve as a liaison between the Product Owner and development team.
* Manage Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, and reports to support Agile processes.
* Assist Product Owners in backlog grooming and prioritization using Jira.
* Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress.
* Track and communicate team metrics such as velocity and burndown charts.
* Ensure continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback loops.
* Support cross-functional coordination and dependencies.
* Have a good understanding on Agile principles.
* Must run team on Scrum / Scaled agile framework.
* Have exposure to migrating teams from Waterfall to Agile SDLC process.
* Have exposure to working with multi-vendor team that achieves same deliverable goal.
* Have an understanding on Agile frameworks like Kanban/ Lean/ Scrum/ Spotify.
* Have project management skills including but not limited to financial management and people management.
* Knowledge about scaled agile and execution of scrum projects for healthcare domain is a must.

Skills Required:

* Experience with Jira is a must along with knowledge of Confluence or other Atlassian tools.
* Experience working in a scaled agile environment (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
* Data visualization tools for reporting Agile Metrics
* Technical background or familiarity with software development life cycles

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $65,447K- $117,000K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
