Do you love developing customer relationships over the telephone? Are you passionate about pets and interested in growing in the pet sales industry? Our Pet Segment is searching for an Associate Inside Sales Representative based out of our Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL locations. This position is responsible for supporting the sales team by generating leads, assisting with customer inquiries, and processing orders. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sales and customer relationship management in the pet supply industry. The role requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within the company. This role focuses on providing the foundational skills needed for a career in inside sales, with the opportunity to learn and grow in the pet supply industry.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • Identify and research potential customers using online tools, databases, and industry networks. Assist in cold calling, emailing, and outreach efforts to generate new sales leads.
  • Overcome technical and business objections of existing and prospective customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, providing information on products, pricing, and availability. Ability to build knowledge and make suggestions to the customer.
  • Assist in processing customer orders and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Follow up on pending orders and shipments.
  • Emphasize salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for direct orders obtained.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the company's product portfolio, learning the key features and benefits of each product category.
  • Identify opportunities to suggest additional products or upgrades to customers based on their needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as customer service, A/R and logistics, to ensure smooth communication and resolution of customer issues.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales, customer service, or related field preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new software and order processing systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to assist with any customer needs.
  • A passion or familiarity with the pet industry, a plus.
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude, eager to learn and grow in the sales profession.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Office environment with low noise level; the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear; work for long periods of time with a computer keyboard, mouse, and phone.
POSITION INFORMATION
  • This position pays $15.00 per hour depending on experience
