Overview Job Summary
The Financial Associate provides day-to-day financial & accounting support typically involving maintenance and/or processing that requires application of accounting practices. Performs data entry in spreadsheets and/or databases. Responsibilities
Job Duty 1: Performs data entry in spreadsheets and/or databases Job Duty 2: Assists with special projects, including compiling and analyzing portions of reports per prescribed direction Job Duty 3: Process, maintain and reconcile transactions in enterprise system Job Duty 4: Answer inquiries and provide information to faculty, students, staff and the public on fiscal policies and procedures Prepare or assist in preparing various financial or administrative reports Job Duty 5: Assist with audits and ensuring financial practices comply with regulatory standards Job Duty 6: Prepare and distribute checks to employees and vendors Job Duty 7: Adhere, propose, and ensure standards of operation, policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure compliant, effective, and efficient operations Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience in financial operations, including submitting purchase requisitions, tracking purchase orders, and reconciling accounts. Proven ability to troubleshoot invoice discrepancies, including direct communication with suppliers. Experience in preparing financial reports and collecting relevant data for analysis. Proficiency in HR data entry and maintaining accurate records in HR databases. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience Experience using Workday or similar enterprise financial software platforms. Solid understanding and practical application of general accounting principles. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and completeness in all tasks. USG Core Values
