Cognizant Technology Solutions As a Mainframe Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining, solving, and optimizing mainframe systems that support critical business operations to ensure the smooth functioning of legacy systems, analyze system performance, and implement updates or patches as needed

Location: Quincy, MA.

Job Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 remote).

Roles and Responsibilities:

Applicant should have a strong legacy mainframe background.

Writing of functional requirements, researching application functionality and recommending development solutions to a third-party development team.

Knowledge and previous experience using COBOL, Easytrieve, IMS, VSAM, JCL, SQL and DB2 is desirable. Actual development work will not be required.

Being responsible for development activities and reviewing test results by a third-party vendor. Conducting UAT with the business and recommending implementation strategies is a significant part of the work as well.

Qualifications:
  • Need Strong Mainframe Technology Knowledge
  • Ability to Lead and coordinate development activities
  • Plans, conducts, and advises the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems and applications.
  • Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are efficient and meet user requirements.
  • May plan and implement unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and builds specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Crafts details of automated systems. May lead multi-functional linked teams to address business, systems, or application issues.
Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until May 25th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $125,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
