Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Racquets Pro Shop Supervisor for the beautiful Barton Creek Country Club!

The Racquet Pro Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Tennis Pro Shop, including retail sales, merchandising, inventory control, reservations, and member engagement. This role supervises and trains Pro Shop staff, ensures excellent guest and member service, supports tennis programming, and maintains high operational and aesthetic standards.



Responsibilities

    Supervise, train, and schedule Pro Shop staff to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.

  • Oversee daily sales transactions; monitor POS system accuracy and troubleshoot issues.

  • Maintain inventory control by managing purchasing, conducting accurate month-end inventories, and reconciling discrepancies.

  • Merchandize the shop, ensuring clean, attractive, and organized product displays that align with sales strategies.

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the shop and surrounding tennis facilities.

  • Respond to member and guest inquiries via phone or email within 24 hours; resolve issues with professionalism and empathy.

  • Manage tennis court reservations and booking systems; organize game arrangements for members and guests.

  • Support tennis programming, leagues, and special events, including ordering food and uniforms, arranging schedules, and registering participants.

  • Collaborate with buyers and retail accounting to track low inventory, suggest new merchandise, and manage received stock documentation.

  • Prepare payroll for shop staff and tennis instructors; maintain accurate records for retail and tennis operations.

  • Develop and update staff manuals, operational procedures, and daily checklists.

  • Assist with department budgeting and purchasing within financial guidelines.

  • Foster a positive, engaging team culture; serve as a role model by upholding service standards and company values.

  • Represent the Tennis Department in meetings (e.g., safety committee, pre-cons) as needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support tennis and recreation operations.



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.

  • 4+ years of customer service experience required, preferably in a resort or upscale club setting.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in retail, hospitality, or tennis operations required.

  • Retail sales and merchandising experience strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with tennis operations, programs, and equipment preferred.

  • Computer proficiency required, including POS systems, Microsoft Office, and tennis reservation software (e.g., Mindbody).

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Professional, outgoing, and customer-focused demeanor.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Must have visual, auditory, and balance abilities necessary to perform job functions.
  • Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Moderate noise level environment.
Certificates/Licenses:
  • None required; tennis or retail-related certifications preferred but not mandatory.
