WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints and returns.
- Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
- Order management.
- Electronic order review and reconciliation.
- Management of customer backorders and lead time inquiries, including working with Planning and Manufacturing to determine accurate shipping dates.
- Resolution of price discrepancies identified at the time of order.
- Manage orders that go on hold status through resolution.
- Manage International/Intercompany orders.
- Answer inquiries received via phone and email, often by working with other departments such as Transportation & Distribution, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support, Sales, Planning, and Finance to facilitate a resolution prior to communication with the customer.
- Assist on various Customer Service projects.
YOU HAVE:
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Ideally 3+ years of experience in a customer service setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Knowledge of ERP/order management systems.
- Knowledge of electronic ordering systems (web and EDI).
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and juggle shifting priorities to satisfy customer requests.
- Ability to speak with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Ability and willingness to work with different departments within the corporation as part of fulfilling customer service excellence, including - but not limited to - technical support, engineering, sales, product management, and shipping & receiving.
