Receiving Inspector

STS Technical Services is hiring Receiving Inspectors in Ridgeland, South Carolina. In this role, you'll be a key player in ensuring that materials received meet quality standards and are properly documented, labeled, and ready for production. • Check incoming materials for defects and proper labeling
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation
  
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to uphold quality protocols
  
• Conduct regular inspections to verify part labeling and conformance
  
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing quality data
  
• Ensure materials meet internal and industry quality standards
  
• Identify and label non-conforming materials
  
• Participate in safety and environmental compliance activities
  
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using blueprints and measuring tools
  
• Use calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and tape measures for inspection
  
• Measure products for uniformity and adherence to specifications
  
• Tag and document discrepancies, working with the Materials department as needed
  
• Maintain organized documentation in both physical and digital formats
  
• Collaborate with team members to identify issues and develop solutions
  

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
  
• Understanding of manufacturing processes preferred
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  

• High School Diploma or GED required
  
• Heavy equipment or manufacturing experience preferred
  

• May work outside of a climate-controlled environment for extended periods
  
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required on the production floor
  

• Frequent walking, standing, sitting, and crouching
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
