Pay Range USD $50,836.00 - USD $53,500.00 /Yr. Overview This position incorporates all aspects of the athletic training profession within the parameters of the New York State Licensure and both the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work with the Head Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for 20 intercollegiate teams. Additionally, this position will be responsible for teaching a course in our Lewis School of Health Sciences. General duties include but are not limited to, prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, and ensuring compliance with all NCAA, and HIPPA laws of all student athletes. This is a ten month, onsite renewable position beginning August 1st. General Purpose: Athletic Trainer in collegiate sports, that cares, treats, develops injury prevention programs, and rehabilitates student athletes in a way that will promote and demonstrate the mission and goals of Clarkson University. Responsibilities * Teach a 3 credit course in the Lewis School of Health Sciences Qualifications Education: Experience: Preferred Experience: 2-4 years of collegiate athletic training. Certifications/Licenses: Must be BOC Certified and possess state athletic training licensure, certification or registration. Current certification in CPR and First Aid required. Certified to work in the USA and New York State. Essential Skills * Applied Knowledge: Athletic trainers must have knowledge of a large range of medical problems. Assessment, evaluation skills and working with other healthcare professionals will be required.
