Hourly Pay Range:

$39.72 - $61.57 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Lead Technologist Ultrasound
  • Location: Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full Time - 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30pm & 8:00am - 4:30pm, rotating holidays
  • On Call

A Brief Overview:
The Ultrasound Technologist Lead is a leadership role responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the ultrasound technologist team. This includes overseeing daily operations, performing advanced ultrasound procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.

What you will do:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the ultrasound technologist team, including assigning duties, monitoring workflow, and ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform and oversee a variety of advanced ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, vascular, obstetric, gynecologic, and other specialized examinations, demonstrating advanced technical skills and maintaining high-quality imaging.
  • Oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care by ensuring proper positioning, explaining procedures, addressing patient concerns, and maintaining a comfortable and safe environment during examinations.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of advanced ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist in optimizing image quality by providing guidance to technologists, adjusting imaging parameters, and ensuring accurate scanning techniques.
  • Implement and oversee quality control programs for ultrasound equipment and patient images to maintain the highest quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of patient information, procedure details, and image data according to hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure the safe use of ultrasound equipment and adherence to safety protocols, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret images, provide input on patient care plans, and assist in clinical decision-making.
  • Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology, safety protocols, and clinical best practices through ongoing education and training.
