Where Your Career is a Force for Good! We are currently seeking a professional, innovative, and enthusiastic Executive Director to support the Cincinnati, OH market and the surrounding communities. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: We are currently seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and community-centered Executive Director for the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State Chapter. This position is an external-facing role focused on relationship building, community mobilization, capacity building (to increase community resiliency), fundraising, and board leadership. Candidates must be comfortable being the face of the Red Cross in the communities it supports, including interacting with influencers, elected officials, business leaders, media and grassroots organizations. This position promotes delivery of the Red Cross mission through volunteer engagement and community partnerships and provides facilitative leadership to local teams to influence and lead change. Position updates regional leadership on the community's needs, perceptions and mission delivery Incumbents will also be responsible for strengthening relationships with our community partners by educating them on the programs and opportunities the American Red Cross offers. This position reports to the Regional Executive, is part of the regional leadership team and serves as the primary liaison to the community. Position is supported by Community Volunteer Leaders and the Chapter Board. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Management Experience: NA Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team. Excellent communications skills Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the territory, state, and the Red Cross system. Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are those present in a normal office environment. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
