Description

Job Summary:

As a Data Engineer, you will work with leadership to define requirements, create reports and dashboards, and is responsible for ensuring compliance of user-defined business rules. This includes assisting with specifying report data, obtaining sign-off from the requester/business owner(s) and providing the specified report on time.

Essential Functions:

Help maintain optimal data pipelines.
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
Organizing and transforming the data in a meaningful way and providing additional context as necessary so that it is easily accessible and ready for analysis
Writing production-quality ELT code
Developing and designing analytics projects as necessary
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities AND/OR Minimum Requirements:

Experience with AWS cloud services: DMS,RDS,EC2,Redshift
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience in ETL, Data Lake and Data warehouse pipeline
Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python/Scala
4+ years experience in a related role, and a Bachelors degree in computer science.
