Acentra Health is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pricing Analyst, Specialist to join our dynamic and mission-driven team. As a Pricing Analyst Specialist, you will serve as a strategic partner in developing and guiding Acentra Health's pricing strategies for competitive bids and complex government contracting opportunities. You'll lead cost and pricing proposal development, refine pricing models and methodologies, and drive pricing strategy through advanced analytics, automation, and cutting-edge tools. Your work will directly influence revenue growth, margin optimization, and the success of high-stakes proposals.

**This position is remote; however, candidates located in or near McLean, VA or Harrisburg, PA are preferred for occasional corporate meetings**

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead Cost Proposal Development: Own the pricing volume for RFPs, RFIs, and task orders of varying scope. Develop fully burdened cost models that incorporate labor, indirect rates, subcontractor pricing, escalation factors, and fee structures.

  • Advanced LOE Modeling: Translate Statements of Work (SOWs) and program requirements into detailed, scenario-based level-of-effort (LOE) models. Lead collaborative sessions with SMEs and operations teams to validate assumptions, staffing levels, and delivery strategies.

  • Strategic Pricing Analysis: Conduct in-depth pricing analysis and benchmarking to inform competitive positioning. Use data visualization, forecasting, and trade-off evaluations to drive strategic pricing decisions.

  • Pricing Tools & Automation: Develop and enhance pricing models and tools using Excel, Power BI, and AI technologies. Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and the use of data pipelines.

  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Communicate pricing scenarios, sensitivities, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders through compelling visuals and narrative frameworks. Translate complex data into actionable insights aligned with business objectives.

  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure full compliance with RFP pricing instructions, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Deliver audit-ready pricing submissions with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the pricing lead on proposal teams, partnering closely with Operations, Product/Technical teams, Contracts, Proposal Management, Business Development, and Finance to ensure aligned and competitive pricing strategies.

  • Policy Adherence: Maintain strict adherence to all corporate policies, including compliance with HIPAA regulations and Privacy and Security Rules.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial pricing and cost modeling for competitive bids and proposals.

  • Proven experience in pricing for government (federal and/or state) healthcare contracts, with a successful track record managing complex pricing efforts from start to finish.

  • At least 3+ years of experience pricing service-based and technology-driven government/public sector contracts for Federal, State, and Commercial clients.

  • At least 3+ years of experience leading the estimation and costing process for large-scale proposals ($20M+), collaborating closely with solution architects and SMEs to develop accurate, competitive, and strategically aligned cost models.

  • Hands-on experience pricing a variety of contract types, including Cost-Plus, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Time & Materials (T&M), Per Member Per Month (PMPM), Per Employee Per Month (PEPM), Unit-Based, and SaaS models.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, complex formulas, and modeling), with solid command of the full Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong writing, mathematical, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed for team collaboration or client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve moderately complex pricing and contractual issues.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex pricing strategies in a clear and accessible manner to diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience creating SaaS pricing structures for new product offerings.

  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for reporting and pricing analysis.

  • Prior experience pricing CMS, Medicaid, or other large-scale government healthcare contracts.
  • Solid understanding of both federal and state procurement frameworks and trends.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $83,000.00 - $126,000.00 in annual base salary.

Based on our compensation program, an applicant's position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
