In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting the health and well-being of consumers at Torrance State Hospital. Your responsibilities will include conducting nutritional assessments for consumers, providing counseling on their specific nutritional needs, and documenting this information in their charts for future reference. You will also collaborate with the treatment team to develop personalized nutritional care plans for consumers and contribute to the development of educational materials to be used in programs. Your work will have a direct impact on the overall health and recovery of consumers at the hospital.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • May change based on operational needs
• Travel as operationally necessary
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

• This position requires certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
