The Opportunity: The Crop Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst will have an instrumental role in developing financial plans and conducting strategic business reviews. Additionally, the role will report and analyze results, monitor competitor and industry trends, and provide value-adding reports to senior management. Strong analytical and communication skills are to support decision-making and effectively present performance data in a visually intuitive format.

  • Location: Ramsey, MN or Chicago, IL
  • Work Arrangement: This role will require 8-12 days/month in the office. The hours for this role are 7:30am-4:15pm CST Monday through Thursday, and 7:30am-12pm CST on Fridays
  • The starting salary range for this role is between $78,500-$129,500 depending on location and experience.

Your New Role:

  • Produce timely, accurate, and insightful performance reports for senior management and business partners.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within the organization, ensuring analyses encompass quantitative and qualitative insights
  • Assist finance leadership with building a dynamic financial plan, with a deep understanding of key profit drivers and sensitivities.
  • Be an active member of strategic management discussions by communicating viewpoints and challenging assumptions
  • Demonstrate cultural expectations and influence others to promote a positive work environment.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Experience in an FP&A or Corporate Strategy role
  • Experience in insurance industry, ideally with exposure to crop insurance

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to synthesize large, complex data sets
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior management
  • Ability to quickly learn new topics and passion for crop insurance
  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
