Job Description

As a Security Professional - Chemical Site Patrol in Parlin, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at this chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This primarily driving post involves conducting routine patrols and providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a secure environment by responding to situations as they arise, working collaboratively with others, and upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time
Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Responsibilities:

    Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any security-related incidents.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards specific to chemical or petrochemical environments and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the location.
  • Document and communicate any security-related incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or security license is preferred.
  • Experience in primarily driving posts is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
