Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hotel Front Desk in Parsippany, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer at a hotel or resort location, you will remain visible at the front desk to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for guests and staff. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, responding to guest inquiries, and communicating clearly with team members. You will deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. This stationary post is ideal for professionals who are agile, reliable, and committed to creating a positive environment for all visitors and employees.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time
Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities:

    Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with relevant personnel and authorities.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
