Job Title: Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor
Work Location: North Houston Area Hours: 6:00am - 4:00pm FLSA: Exempt, Direct-Hire, Full-Time OVERVIEW: A food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor in North Houston Area. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse, with approximately 70% focused on fieldwork and 30% on administrative or computer-based tasks. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations within a food manufacturing environment. Strong inventory control experience is essential. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required. The position requires someone who can work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO: Warehouse Management and Improvement: -Oversee and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping. -Ensure adherence to SQF, GMP, and organic standards. -Develop and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures. -Supervise warehouse staff performance, providing training and development as needed. -Implement strategies to improve warehouse operations. -Ensure the safe and effective use of warehouse equipment and facilities. -Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. -Ensure timely review and completion of documentation forms. -Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. -Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations. -Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary. -Communicate effectively with internal teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics. -Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers. Inventory Control: -Oversee inventory management, including regular stock counts and reconciliation. -Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of inventory levels. -Manage inventory to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role. Supervisory experience within a food manufacturing environment. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Strong inventory control expertise. Proven ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop production staff members. Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and rider pallet jacks. Knowledge of SQF, GMP, and organic standards.
