Position Overview The School of Kinesiology housed in the College of Education and Human Development, at the University of Minnesota, has an occasional need for part-time, temporary or casual employees. This does not constitute a posting for vacancies but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during the summer of 2025 term. The work schedule is temporary in nature, meaning the employee is limited to 67 days of work in a calendar year. It can also be casual in nature, meaning the employee can work 14 or fewer hours per week. Employees working in this position are paid an hourly rate; temporary and casual employees are not eligible for retirement plans, health insurance, vacation, sick leave, or the Regents Scholarship. This position is based on campus. Per UMN policy, work may be done remotely when appropriate and approved by your manager. Department Overview The School of Kinesiology focuses on the biological, developmental, social, and behavioral bases of physical activity, recreation, sport and human performance through its programs in kinesiology, recreation and leisure students, and sport studies. The degree programs in the School prepare students for a variety of professional opportunities in both the public and private sector. The fields of teaching, community service, allied health, industry and business are career paths that graduates of our programs may anticipate as avenues of employment and further professional training.
