Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a motivated Senior Application Developer.

The department strives to provide leadership to the Laboratory and the Nation in the creative development, use, and application of both NGC and mod/sim technologies. The NGC Department staff pride themselves in team accomplishments, professional development and the mentorship of others.



Responsibilities

    The candidate will be responsible for providing technology soluitons and support to both Offensive and Defensive Miliarty Systems development projects within the Systems Program.
  • Hardware and software technologies are developed, integrated, and tested to provide flight control solutions for missiles and hypersonic reentry platforms.
  • Our applications cover a broad spectrum of applications; from advanced aerodynamically controlled vehicles dropped from aircraft, to maneuvering hypersonic warheads, to ballistic missile systems.
    • All of the activities require the extensive use of real time embedded computers and custom real-time software for the realization of affiliated fully integrated flight control system solutions.
  • Significantly involved in modeling and simulation activities in support of these same application areas as well as activities for the Mission Program.


Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical field, plus 6 years related experience
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Active DOE L clearance
  • Provable software design proficiency using C++ and Java
  • Experience with the use of Real Time operating systems on embedded computer platform
  • Experience with common software configuration tools such as GIT and Subversion
  • A past record of working effectively and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing
  • The ability and willingness to travel a few weeks out of the year within the United States
  • Would prefer DOE L-Clearance to start, with ability to obtain DOE Q Clearance, but would be willing to start Uncleared, if it's a strong candidate and for the AP II is obtain to obtain a DOE L or Q, prefer within 3-6 months
  • Experience with implementing and supporting provisioning / IDM platform (e.g., ForgeRock, Ping, Okta, Sailpoint, NetIQ, Oracle, ADFS, etc.)
  • Experience with LDAP directory servers and an understanding of their place in identity management solutions

Desired:

  • A BS degree in Software or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Broad experience with a variety of Object-Oriented programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java
  • Direct experience with the application of the Greenhills INTEGRITY Real time operating system
  • Experience with the development of embedded software for safety critical applications
  • Knowledge and experience with the application of the DO-178 and Mil-Std-883 Safety standards to software
  • Experience with the use and application of Continuous Integration techniques such as Jenkins
  • Experience designing and applying unit level test methods, and general techniques for software regression testing
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
