University of New Mexico's College of Education and Human Sciences
Exercise Sciences Visiting, One-Year Faculty Position in Exercise Science Starting in August 2025

The University of New Mexico College of Education and Human Sciences Department of Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences invites applications for a temporary, one-year, Visiting Lecturer III Faculty Position in Exercise Science.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a 4/4
course load per academic year. These courses, offered in the scheduled rotation
within the Exercise Science program, include but are not limited to:

PEP 326 - Exercise Physiology
PEP 478/579 - Sports Physiology
PEP 501 - Advanced Exercise Physiology
PEP 527 - Metabolic Considerations for Exercise Science

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1) Doctorate in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or a closely related field by the appointment start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Experience teaching undergraduate courses in Exercise Science or a related field
2) Experience teaching graduate courses in Exercise Science or a related field
3) Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, student success, and working with broadly diverse communities.
