We are seeking a diligent Clerical Assistant 3 to provide a full-range of timekeeping and scheduling duties in support of the staff who work in our 24/7 facility which manages civil and forensic operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform time and attendance duties for assigned hospital staff on various work schedules and shifts which includes completing verification of employee self service (ESS) input, data entry, and notifying employees to enter leave through ESS as required. Specific duties entail receiving daily attendance and overtime (OT) reports from facility departments and initiating communication with managers and supervisors to obtain missing information and resolve questionable information. You will be responsible for ensuring work schedules and meal periods are accurate and addressing any changes as needed. Courteous and attentive customer service skills are essential, as you will be frequently communicating with employees and supervisors to address payroll issues or questions. This professional works closely with the central office time advisor to correct errors or update information in response to audit reports, exception reports for OT thresholds, report status of employees, and update OT information to remain in compliance with Act 2017-5 (pension reform).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Torrance.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
