Overview

The Membership Operations Processor is responsible for processing membership data for all relevant products and services while meeting or exceeding production, accuracy and service level standards. They are required to make decisions within their authority that lead to improved measures or service levels with a focus on member centricity. Their general duties include but are not limited to coding enrollment forms, data entry, entry audits, eligibility verification, return mail processes and supporting the service center and billing processes for all products and services. Over time and holiday work may be required to meet service standards.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required. Associates degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • One (1) year of data entry processing and/or customer service experience required; health care industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under strict deadlines, maintain confidentiality and make decisions commensurate with position responsibilities.
  • Proven organizational, analytical, decision making, written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others at all levels of an organization, internally and externally to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required and a condition of employment.

Essential Accountabilities

Enrollment Processor

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding production, accuracy and service level standards on all membership systems in support of Independent Health Products and services.
  • Identify missing and invalid information and follow standard policy and procedures to resolve.
  • Perform data entry functions in appropriate system(s) to support of the ongoing creation and maintenance of membership enrollment data including new adds, reinstatements, changes to existing records, cancellations, PCP auto assigns, ID card requests, and other miscellaneous updates.
  • Perform verifications and processes required to maintain compliance with Federal, State, County and internal regulations and ensure superior customer service.

Regulation / Quality Improvement

  • Remain informed of current and upcoming changes in State, Federal and internal regulations. Participate in and review updates to departmental processes and policy to remain in compliance. Recognize quality improvement opportunities and communicate suggestions.

Hiring Compensation Range: $18.00 hourly

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
