Overview

The Site Supervisor is accountable for the day-to-day operations of an assigned site or account. Including training, disciplinary action and suspensions, coaching, correct payroll, and scheduling.


Job Skills / Requirements
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
* Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met for assigned site
* Assure regular communication of issues or concerns with FCS assigned personnel and client
* Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately
* Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, training, evaluations, and recognition)
* Assure that employee grievances are heard and resolved (with help from Account Manager, to include HR when deemed appropriate)
* Assures communication of policies & company announcements are received and understood by all personnel
* Meet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime
* Coordinate and conduct OTJ site specific training with assistance from Training Coordinator
* Ensure employees understand, read, and know how to locate post assigned orders
* Manage uniforms, equipment and vehicles assigned to site
* Take a proactive approach in communicating with clients and meeting their needs. Listen to issues, provide expertise and workable solutions. Ensure overall satisfaction
* Utilize E-hub for scheduling, billing, and payroll
* Enforce FCS policies and procedures outlined in handbook and policy manual
* Understand and communicate the FCS mission and embed it in site culture
* Attend all scheduled meetings for additional training and updates provided by Sr Leadership
* Provide timely and specific coaching and recognition
* Ensure a full and proper pass down to the off going/oncoming Supervisor.
* Ensure that all assigned equipment is accounted for at the beginning of each shift to include All keys, JAC HID Swipe Card, Laptops, Tablets, Radios and assigned office equipment.
* Complete or assign the vehicle inspection in Lighthouse prior to its use on your assigned shift.
* Receive intake information from JSO Watch Command
* Log information for the incoming inmate information on the Daily Hospital Security Activity Report Log intake & write inmate information on the board at JSO Base and ensure both are updated as new inmates are called in and inmates are discharged.
* Intake or assign a Sergeant to intake incoming inmates.
* Assign officers to take custody of inmates brought to UF Health or off-site locations.
* Assign officers on each shift to assume custody of the inmates already admitted to UF Health or any offsite locations where FCS has custody of an inmate.
* Ensure proper coverage at the Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) with R.I. certified officers.
* Ensure best practices of assigning officers in unusual circumstances. IE: receiving authorization from the JSO liaison to place 2 male officers with female inmates while they are in the ER or placing 2 female officers to assume custody of a male inmate while admitted to UF Health or offsite locations when applicable to ensure minimalization of JSO sitting and fines.
* Call JSO watch command a minimum of 2 times during an assigned shift, to confirm that FCS has received information for all inmates called in and in our custody. This is to be done in the middle and shortly before the end of the shift.
* Maintain a daily log to include information pertaining to inmate intakes including but not limited to times supervisory staff called JSO regarding an inmate that has not arrived on post after an hour of being called in. Document each subsequent call made at 30-minute intervals to check the status of inmates not received into FCS custody. Document authorization of sitting male and female officers on inmates of the opposite sex. Document longer than usual pick-up times by transportation after an inmate is discharged. Any unusual circumstance that warrants notation.
* Check and Maintain Quality Control of all documentation associated with the inmate care, custody & control procedures. IE: Property Sheets, 15-minute logs, Incident statements and ensuring corrections are made where needed.
* Update officer schedules in E-hub as needed for officers to include times in and times out for all staff assigned to your shift and those officers working on another shift once you have assumed command of the post. Update E-hub for any officer working overtime or who may call out, arrive late, or leave early from their post.
* Ensure that all officers under your supervision have signed the FCS Daily Sign In log and ensure that you update the times they arrive for duty and leave for duty. If offsite or unable to sign in/out a supervisor can sign for the officer by initialing the signature line. Ensure this information is also updated in E-hub.
* Ensure that incident reports are completed before the end of any officer's shift. Inmate related reports are to be done using Lighthouse, while in-house or non-inmate related reports are to be done on the written incident forms.
* Complete officers call off reports and call-in other officers to cover the shift for the oncoming shift if more staff are needed based on the inmate count. Supervisors need to be cautious not to create unnecessary overtime. Note the names and time called for officers on the officer call-off form.
* Assist staff with payroll discrepancy inquiries and report those findings to the Account manager for correction.
* Ensure operational staffing is met, while ensuring that unnecessary overtime is avoided.
* Manage the duties and responsibilities of the holding cell officers and place them within the shift hold rotation if needed to take custody of inmates.
* Conduct or assign a Sergeant to make rounds at any offsite locations where FCS has the responsibility and custody of inmates to check with officers to ensure guidelines and policy are being adhered to. Coordinate with Account Manager for offsite locations greater than 25 miles.
* Conduct or assign a Sergeant to make at least two rounds at the Juvenile Adjustment Center (JAC) each shift, ensuring that the intake and release of property is being completed and that all paperwork is complete and filled out correc

Certification Requirements (Any)

"D" Security license

Class G Armed Security License

Valid Drivers License

Experience: Previous contract security, military, or law enforcement

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED:
Previous experience in surveillance and or CCTV preferred but not required
Ability to use cellular device for reporting
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching unauthorized areas
May be required to work overtime without advance notice
Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat
Depending upon assignment may be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others
May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Ability to sit for extended periods of time
* Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, twisting, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
* Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
* Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 lbs.
* Run as needed
* Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
* Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/moving up to 25lbs
