Job Title: Project Manager

Location(s): Philadelphia, PA

Summary:

Responsible for the overall direction, execution, control and completion of Base Business quarterly updates projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The IT Project Manager is responsible for applying advanced Project Management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes and systems. Additionally, the Project Manager has proven experience leading successful strategic initiatives in a large, matrixed organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Knowledge of MES systems is a must, Preferably Koerber Client-X V 3.1.8 or above.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong long-term relationships, communications and interact professionally with a diverse group of Executives, Managers, and Subject Matter Experts in both IT and business unit groups.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively organise, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve goals.
  • Experience commanding status meetings and effectively holding team members accountable for status, deliverables and timely escalation of blockers.
  • A history of successfully managing vendors and vendor-implemented packaged software.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects and Application Quality Assurance to provide continuity and promote a consistent understanding of the business requirements and objectives throughout the full lifecycle of the project.
  • Actively anticipate, track and plan for project risks and issues, dependencies, and resourcing.
  • Function as a trusted advisor to the Program Manager and/or Portfolio Manager and the Business Relationship Manager.
  • Build strong relationships and gain trust.
  • Understand business requirements, values and goals.
  • Communicate changes in status, risks, issues and dependencies quickly.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager and/or Portfolio Manager and Business Relationship Manager on client and stakeholder communication and reporting.
  • Escalate issues that are blocked to the Program Manager and/or Portfolio Manager in a timely manner.
  • Manage/ monitor and control project deliverables. Mitigate any project risk.


Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification required.
  • Strong MES background.
  • Hands-on experience with project management methodologies.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and escalation mitigation.
