GENERAL FUNCTION


The Sr. Manager of Account Management manages a Small & Mid-Market (SMB) account management team. Exceeds/maintains a high level of client retention and satisfaction while providing excellent client service to our clients and brokers.
Engages brokers in the health insurance companies across the country. The Sr. Manager of Account Management is part of the SMB Leadership team.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Ensures high level book of business retention >95%.
  • Maintains relationships at the broker and HR benefit manager level leading to retention, account growth and new business.
  • Manages multi-million dollar book of business for companies ranging from 10-2,000 employees.
  • Grows book of business.
  • Leverages internal relationships to quickly resolve client requests.
  • Introduces innovative products and programs to brokers/clients to maintain high renewal levels.
  • Supports entire Account Management team to ensure team success.
  • Directly manages a team of 8-10 reports.
  • Supports Account Management goals by sharing ideas, encouraging individual career strategies and education.
  • Serves as a liaison for all issues requiring internal support.
  • Collaborates with EyeMed SMB direct sales force to facilitate new business growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years industry related field
  • Demonstrated/proven success in Account Management or Sales role
  • Experience in the health insurance field with exposure to group benefits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Executive presence
  • Strong proven leadership, coaching & team development
  • Proven results and accomplishments in Commercial based roles
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Master's Degree
  • 5+ years in sales and/or account management
  • Previous experience leading a Sales or Account Management team with large geographic territory

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
