POSITION SUMMARY

Join a high-performing, collaborative marketing team focused on delivering results through smart, compelling, and timely messaging. The Email Marketing Specialist works alongside other digital marketing roles & plays a key role in executing guest-facing email campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across digital touchpoints, and supporting business performance through targeted communication efforts.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, detail-oriented environment and takes pride in executing with excellence. While primarily focused on email, the role offers growth opportunities through exposure and cross-training in CRM segmentation, website, mobile app, and social content environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Email Execution & Scheduling: Plan, build, test, proof, and deploy multiple branded email campaigns per week using Acoustic (ESP) and Knak email template-builder
  • Content Coordination: Collaborate with brand and product teams to align copy and visuals across email, web, mobile app, and social, and paid media channels
  • Visual & Copy Editing: Adapt provided assets and copy banks to create visually compelling emails that meet brand and business standards
  • List Segmentation & Targeting: Coordinate and apply predefined audience segmentation strategies to support message relevance and personalization
  • Performance Review: Track campaign performance (ie. open rates, CTR, deliverability, conversions) and implement basic A/B testing strategies for improvement
  • Workflow Management: Leverage provided project management tools to manage assigned tasks, track progress, and collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Cross-Channel Exposure: Support related content executions in website, mobile app, and social environments as needed-training provided
  • Team Integration: Represent the email channel in weekly marketing check-ins, content planning meetings, and 1:1s with your manager
  • This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
  • Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing and digital campaign execution
  • Familiarity with Acoustic ESP and Knak, or similar email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
  • Basic image editing and layout skills (resizing, formatting, simple graphics)
  • Working knowledge of segmentation and list management
  • Ability to interpret performance metrics and apply them to future campaign improvements
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and responsive to feedback
  • Team player with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience in ClickUp or other project management tools is a plus
  • Portfolio or samples of previous email marketing work preferred
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written.
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree with focus or certificate in email or digital marketing preferred


The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $26.00 - $28.50 per hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Lift and carry up to 30lbs. including backpacks with computer equipment and tools
  • Intermediate skiing or riding ability preferred
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Operate computer for long periods of time
