Speech Language Pathologist

As a Speech Language Pathologist, youwill plan, organize, and conduct individualized treatment plans to help patients with speech disorders restore and/or improve communication function. Our SLP studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. This position requires Speech Therapy licensure.

Primary Duties:

• Evaluates and plans therapy programs for each patient assignedas prescribed byphysician. Directs and aids the patients in therapeutictechniques appropriate topatient needs.

• Provides accuratebilling information on the same day as services. Employs principles of therapeutic communication, interviewing techniques, problem-solving, and crisis intervention when performing patient care.

• Handles stressful situations with tact and poise.Strivesto makeeffective useoftime.

• Records and reports patient progress in consultation with the referring physician as per department policy.

• Educates patients and familyregardingspeech therapy plan of care andappropriate homeexercise program and documents education in patient record.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech Therapy.

• SP-L - Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Maryland.

• 1-2 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience preferred.
