About The Position

As a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting, you will be part of a team responsible for managing the global month-end close process and collaborating with regional accounting teams to coordinate consolidated financial results. Under direct supervision, you will carry out tasks impacting the general ledger, process journal entries, and post transactions. You will be responsible for the accounting for corporate entities in SAP and ensuring the accuracy of tasks performed by the Shared Service Center.

You will ensure SOX compliance for all controls in this responsibility area and build, document, and deploy scalable processes that ensure repeatable, high-quality execution of the financial close process. Identifying process improvement and/or automation opportunities and implementing solutions that improve timeliness and accuracy of financial transactions will be a key part of your role. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting policies and procedures to assist in maintaining financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. You will perform day-to-day accounting activities and month-end close activities by applying practical knowledge of the function typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. It is expected that you positively influence and answer the questions of others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and best practices.

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting & Consolidations.

Key Activities, Responsibilities and Deliverables

Manage the global month-end closing process and collaborate with regional accounting teams to coordinate consolidated financial results.

Assist in the corporate period-end close process, working with the Senior Manager - Corporate Accounting and Consolidations and regional accounting teams to assist in the execution of the group financial consolidation.

Prepare and process journal entries, including complex areas.

Ensure the integrity of the internal control environment through completion of SOX control requirements.

Build, document, and deploy scalable processes that ensure repeatable, high-quality execution of the financial close process.

Assist in preparing and developing financial reports.

Escalate business questions to supervisory level.

Understand the accounting function, key policies, and standard operating procedures.

Identify cost savings, process improvement, and/or automation opportunities throughout the close process and implement solutions that improve timeliness and accuracy.

Collaborate with various internal partners globally to provide information, seek issues, and offer solutions to business needs.

Provide support to internal and external audit activities, including preparation and review of audit schedules as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.

CPA preferred or working towards CPA.

2 to 4 years' experience in corporate accounting and consolidations for a large organization (mix of public and industry experience preferred).

Working Knowledge of US GAAP.

Experience with OneStream and SAP preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Experience handling large international complex legal entity structures and related accounting.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-change environment required.

Excellent communication skills both verbally (phone, one-on-one) and in writing (email, letters, reports, other correspondence) to varying external and internal contacts at varying levels.

Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Intellectually curious and analytically strong.

Progressive thinking skills and the ability to think and act independently.

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $85,000-$100,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
