U.S. AutoForce POSITION SUMMARYThe Category Management Analyst will analyze sales data to generate valuable insights to signal data driven decisions for the Category Management team within U.S. AutoForce. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a keen analytical skillset coupled with an action driven mindset to identify and articulate product category consumption and distribution patterns to promptly and accurately model current and future trends for the business. Effective and thorough communication skills are imperative in conveying results, insights, and recommendations. In this dynamic role as a Category Management Analyst, you will play a pivotal part in shaping or accelerating the growth and market position of the company and its products.

This position will be located onsite at our Corporate Office in Appleton, WI. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in development for brand stocking strategies for multiple tire product categories
  • Develop strong working relationships with Sales, Program Managers, inventory planners to promote growth, efficiency and profitability
  • Facilitate proper inventory management to meet consumer demand, safety stock review
  • Regular communication with suppliers for inventory collaboration, back orders, new products
  • Authorize the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility and profitability
  • Assist with customer forecast integration
  • Work on monthly supplier inventory collaboration meetings
  • Identify and take action on reducing Obsolete and Discontinued inventory
  • Assist with car dealer demand for forecasting and stocking purposes
  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Load monthly pricing and ensure accuracy of invoices while reviewing price variances
  • Approve sustainable inventory levels with buying group
  • Facilitate internet product marketing issues with IT
  • Manage associate dealer programs and data flow to sales
  • Approve and develop new part numbers to the inventory model
  • Proven systems analysis and troubleshoot problems related to inventory software
  • Develop exit strategy for unsuccessful product
  • Ensure accurate pricing and perform purchase price variance corrective action
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, a related field, or the equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years experience in product management or purchasing in a related industry
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, process improvement, communication, and organizational abilities
  • Able to deal with a variety of people and situations in a positive, open-minded, and results oriented manner
  • Available to travel as required
  • Detail, results, and team oriented as well as professional under stress
  • Ability to think strategically and translate a vision into a solid measurable marketing/sales program
  • Strong analytical skills including a good understanding of the budgeting process, cost control, price and profit dynamics, profit margin retention strategies, and statistics
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Good problem solving, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ethical and trustworthy
  • Valid driver's license
