Business Intelligence Analyst I

For AutoTrader and KBB's Unified Consumer Vehicle Disposal Businesses: This role is responsible for developing analytical solutions to address business issues and providing insight and recommendations to business owners, client or company executives with completed projects and Analysis. The Analyst will be responsible for mining and interpreting data, monitoring, analyzing key metrics, interpreting performance and providing insight into the data and metrics. This role will include building dashboards for business units across the organization and maintaining the data models behind. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that empower clients to make smarter, real-time decisions, enhancing profitability and efficiency using tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.

What You'll Do

  • Build analytical solutions to address Sales, Marketing and Operational business needs and questions.
  • Data Mine, interpret data and offer recommendations and insight around specific questions
  • Write SQL queries, create stored procedures, create data tables, and functions to support and develop analyses in response to questions that arise
  • Develop the automation needed for standard reporting that includes dashboards and reporting tools, ETLs
  • Work as part of a team and independently to identity and prioritize business issues and work proactively to find solutions
  • Work with various internal business teams to provide analytics solutions
  • Identify reporting and data collection requirements for new product and process enhancements
  • Develop report prototypes to shorten the development cycle
  • Ability to conduct prioritized or ad hoc scenario analysis in support of company initiatives or projects a plus
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to address business needs and to impact decisions
  • Possess the ability to complete projects of varying size and complexity
  • Handle data preparation and data analysis portions of various projects
  • Coordinate data feeds and updates
  • Prepare written analysis and present findings, recommendations and raise decision and questions to internal and external clients

Who You Are

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with basic understanding of statistics and business analysis principles
  • Experience working with multiple data sources including Snowflake, SQL Server, flat data files, and web-based interfaces


Preferred

  • Proven working knowledge of SQL, Advanced Tableau, Advanced PowerBI, and Advanced-Level Excel
  • Strong preference for a minimum 3 plus years experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Financial analysis experience is a plus
  • Web Analytics such as Google Analytics
  • Python experience
  • Project Management skills or background a plus, contributing to ability to work on multiple analytics projects and deliverables at the same time and work effectively in a team environment. Certification a plus
  • Previous utilization of statistical software and techniques in the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets a plus


USD 54,200.00 - 81,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $54,200.00 - $81,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
