Cisco Security is seeking an experienced cybersecurity product marketing leader to join our dynamic team. We're looking for a passionate storyteller with deep insights into the rapidly evolving Artificial Intelligence (AI) security market. As a Product Growth Strategist for AI Defense, you'll contribute to an innovative solution at the forefront of AI security. Your role will support a product designed to secure generative AI applications, mitigate prompt injection vulnerabilities, and protect enterprises from adversarial AI threats.

Your Impact

As the AI Defense Product Growth Strategist, you will drive external-facing activities to ensure your product's market success. You will analyze the evolving AI security landscape, anticipate industry trends, and identify customer challenges. You will clearly articulate Cisco's unique differentiators, collaborate with sales, campaign, and customer success teams, and drive product visibility, adoption, and Cisco's leadership in AI-driven security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Go-to-Market Strategy for new and existing products: Develop and execute the GTM strategy including identifying target markets, messaging, and positioning.
  • Develop Core Product Positioning, Messaging, and Differentiators: Craft compelling and consistent positioning and messaging around the differentiators that align with the overall product strategy and resonate with customers and partners. Work with inbound product management, engineering, and the field to identify and articulate the outstanding value propositions of Cisco Security products, ensuring they are communicated and understood by the target audiences. Passionately represent the voice of our customers to internal teams.
  • Enable Sales and Partners: Create impactful content, training materials, and collateral for sales and partner teams. Directly engage with customers, analysts, and industry experts. Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader at industry events.
  • Conduct Market Research: Regularly analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities. Provide strategic insights to maintain product competitiveness.
  • Influence Partners, including Executives: Clearly communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders. Use analytical and problem-solving skills to provide data-driven recommendations and measure GTM success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in enterprise/b2b tech with at least 5 years of product management experience, including at least 3 in network security.
  • AI product experience, including areas such as securing generative AI/LLMs, adversarial AI protection, or AI risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product marketing experience
  • Product and market understanding of enterprise security
  • Experience with AI security trends, including generative AI, adversarial threats, model poisoning, governance, and compliance
  • Familiarity with modern application security practices, including Kubernetes, DevOps, and DevSecOps.
  • MBA
  • Experience speaking publicly to an executive-level audience
  • Strong project execution skills, attention to detail, and a risk-mitigation mentality
  • Self-motivation and partnership a strive to find new and innovative solutions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills in customer-facing roles
  • Ability to lead and influence via persuasion, perseverance, and energy to drive consensus across functions and teams
  • Collaboration with internal and external partners.
