Contract Analyst

Our Contract Analyst position will closely collaborate with our risk management team and technical staff to actively assist with reviewing contracts for awarded projects, business development opportunities, and vendors. Every day is different; however, one aspect of this role is constant. The significance of building and maintaining strong relationships. You'll engage with various teams and divisions within Benesch daily.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the A/E/C industry, enjoy working on contract reviews and supporting teams in the negotiation process. Candidates with experience working on design-build contracts are strongly desired. Keen attention to detail and writing skills are essential in this role, as is the ability to have a team player mentality, refined organizational skills, and an ability to manage multiple competing deadlines while keeping cool. Collaboration with team members and technical staff is a large part of this role.


Location

This position can be 100% remote but is preferred to be close to one of our office locations


The Impact You Will Have

  • Review professional services contracts and other project-related documentation to identify and mitigate company risk or liability. Draft and propose alternative contract text and provide supporting commentary regarding changes
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and summarize contract issues or key points to ensure company policy, laws, and regulations compliance
  • Manage subcontracts, including client flow-down requirements and verification that subcontractors meet or exceed the insurance requirements of the company and client
  • Support proposal activity, especially regarding contract language, compliance with insurance requirements and identify any unique issues
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external clients to support negotiation of contract terms and conditions
  • Track and report on the status of contract negotiations
  • Other duties may be assigned as part of Benesch's Risk Management Team


What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience reviewing and revising contracts; proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, strong analytical and critical thinking skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; detail-oriented; ability to work independently; capable of professionally managing confidential information
  • Experience in AEC industry and design-build contracts preferred
  • Paralegal certification is a plus!

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.

Colorado Pay Range
$30 $50 USD
