Under general supervision, supports the Finance team by performing basic accounting tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and assisting with month end close, as well as assisting with providing information for annual audits and tax filings as needed. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an understanding of accounting principles.

- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and analysis to include general accounting ledgers, profit and loss statements, variance analysis, balance sheets, depreciation schedules as well as journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliation.

- Skill in using computers and personal productivity applications
- Ability to help with and learn to prepare and interpret financial statements and reports to solve management and accounting issues

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports team in conducting detailed analysis of various general ledger accounts: supports the gatherings and organizing of data, reviewing of data for completeness and accuracy; completion of necessary logs, records and ledgers; discovery of s discrepancies in data, follows-up and corrections of data discrepancies.
- Gathers data and learns to perform complex calculation to prepare a variety of recurring financial statements
- Conducts month-end close activities including journal entries, actual to budget analysis, follow up on significant variances.
- Assists team with data entry for budget information, audit and tax requests from external auditors and other requests from outside entities or departments
- Provides analytical support for forecasting initiatives, helping senior leadership interpret financial trends and variances.
- Evaluates internal financial controls and processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement and assisting in the implementation of best practices.
- Prepares daily cash logs.
- Leads the payment depositing process and prepares cash reports.Work with Revenue/AR team with resolving deposit questions.
- Assists with the preparation and submission of EPIC mileage logs to payroll for employee reimbursement.
- Assists in the review of reconciliations, identifies accounting issues, and assists with the resolution.
- Collects or coordinates the collection of past and current financial, statistical and other GHC data and helps develop and present relevant and meaningful analysis.
- Participates in testing, evaluating and documentation of system upgrades.
- Assists the Finance Department with all hospice audits.
- Triages and responds to financial information and process queries from non-financial personnel.

Pay Range $48,696.64 - $73,044.96
Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
