Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment and fixtures.

The Maintenance Technician will conduct general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment; maintain repair and maintenance records, troubleshoot problems and escalate the most complex issues.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our St. Louis, MO site.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:30pm

What we're looking for:

  • Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience:

  • 3 years applicable experience in a similar position.

  • Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be team oriented.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills are important.

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Maintain building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment.

  • Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc.

  • Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded.

  • Answer security alarm calls as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to an industrial warehouse environment. The associate works near moving mechanical machinery and noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The job requires working in heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and maybe exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.
