What you will be doing
Implement the company's quality strategy at the regional level, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and country-specific quality standards; establish quality goals and action plans tailored to each construction project within the region.
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) at all regional construction sites; train site personnel on QMS procedures, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Work with Proposal Team to develop quality section of proposals for projects in their region.
- Assist Project quality managers or district quality managers in their region to source and hire quality resources needed for the projects.
- Conduct regular site audits to verify compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards; document findings, report non-conformances, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution.
- Review reports and data related to NCRs on each project and construction sites to identify the common patterns for early detection of inefficient or flawed processes.
- Drive continual improvement initiatives across projects within the region to enhance construction quality, reduce defects, and minimize rework; collaborate with project quality managers to optimize processes and implement best practices.
- Act as the regional quality point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders; communicate quality objectives, address concerns, and provide updates on quality performance to support project goals and client satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor a team of project quality control managers, field QC inspectors and other site quality personnel across the region; provide guidance, training, and development to promote a strong quality culture and enhance team capabilities.
- Establish and track key quality metrics for the region, such as defect rates, audit results, and rework costs; provide regular quality performance reports to the Country Quality Director and recommend actions to improve regional quality outcomes.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California.
- 10+ years in quality management in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role managing multiple sites or projects.
- Certifications in quality and construction (e.g., ASQ CQE, CQA, Lean Six Sigma, Construction Quality Management) are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and develop teams, as well as communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Competency in quality management and reporting tools, as well as proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
