Nokia of America SW Test Engineer (Multiple Positions), Westford, MA.



  • Design and Test Nokia's routers/chassis based on Open Community NOS (SONiC) and Work with SW development engineers to resolve issues.
  • Execute, enhance, and develop tests plans to verify conformance of features and their functionality implemented by Engineering against requirements specifications.
  • Develop and execute Automated test cases using Python in Pytest environment.
  • Analyze and write test standards and procedures and maintain documentation of test result.
  • Analyze test results to ensure functionality and recommend corrective action.
  • Work closely with lead customer to ensure their acceptance testing successfully pass on Nokia routers/chassis.
  • Provides measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.
  • Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. #LI-DNI


Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Westford, MA may be permitted up to 40%.

Must have a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field and 5 years of post-Bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following:



  • Python programming and test automation framework;
  • Testing various features on the 7x50 service routers including L2/L3, and Platform drivers;
  • Evaluating the performance of the hardware, and stressing and scaling these features across 7x50 software releases;
  • Testing routing protocols: OSPF, ISIS, or BGP4; QoS (Quality of Service); OSI layers and TCP/IP.
