We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician I to join our team at Emplify Health. The ideal candidate will assist optometrists in providing high-quality patient care, performing various diagnostic tests, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.

No vision or eye experience needed. All training for this role will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform preliminary tests, including visual acuity, tonometry, and other diagnostic assessments.
  • Maintain and prepare examination rooms and equipment.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
  • Educate patients on eye care and post-operative instructions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.

What you will do:

  • Work 36 hours each week. Monday - Friday
  • Hours are between 7:30a-5:00p
  • Locations: Viroqua, Tomah + Float Day
  • Float Day will travel to assist at all Gundersen optical locations
  • Provide a quality optical experience to our patients and guests

What you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 2 years of patient/customer service experience
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certified by JCAHPO within 18 months of hire
