Job Description

The Manager - Revenue Cycle Reporting & Analytics is responsible for leading a team of analysts that track metrics, develop revenue cycle reporting and make recommendations for overall department improvements. The position develops a thorough knowledge of Allscripts SFM, PowerBI, Axiom, and Revenue Cycle Analytics tools. The manager also serves as the systems administrator to ensure the efficient and cost-effective use of purchased analytics software. This position works closely with other departments within the revenue cycle division and finance/operations to lead data analytics projects related to hospital pricing transparency. The manager is responsible for transforming analytics into a PowerBI centric format. The manager is also responsible for training the team on the use of PowerBI and other purchased analytics software. The Manager develops standardized management reports and monitors the use of reports;, works closely with Revenue Cycle leadership to establish and maintain staff productivity reports; establishes and maintains benchmark data for budgeting; and assists in special projects to achieve departmental goals. This position also supports the revenue cycle with advanced level data management related to KPI's for daily operations and month end reporting. The Manager - Revenue Cycle Reporting & Analytics works directly with Vice President, Directors and managers of Revenue Cycle to render assistance in matters of Revenue Cycle Analytics and financial nature.

Responsibilities

* Manages daily functionality of MedeAnalytics and other assigned analytics software programs.
* Works with MedeAnalytics to continue the development of management and operational dashboards.
* Develops and maintains PowerBI dashboards for leadership KPIs.
* Further develops and maintains PowerBI dashboard for Revenue Cycle and vendor productivity.
* Trains end users on MedeAnalytics functionality.
* Works closely with assigned leaders of all departments within Revenue Cycle to cohesively track and report KPIs.
* Acts as subject matter expert for advanced analytical methods and techniques.
* Manages ongoing data submission projects in a timely manner.
* Assists with the annual budget, providing department leaders data as requested, based on the budget calendar.
* Reviews Business Intelligence Tools for system accuracy and assists in change notifications to ensure financial accuracy.
* Is responsible for department's operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.
* Is responsible for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organization's financial resources.
* Manage team members which include orientation, development and evaluation of personnel, and monitoring the provision of delivering quality services. Participates in the recruiting, interviewing and selecting of team members following policies, guidelines and applicable laws. Evaluates their performance relative to job goals and requirements. Provides coaching to staff, recommends in-service education programs, and ensures adherence to internal policies and standards.

Qualifications

1-3 years Relevant revenue cycle experience Required
5 years Finance or Revenue Cycle Analyst experience Required
1-3 years Leadership experience Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance or related field Required
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance or related field Preferred
