Description: Position Summary The Clinical Physician-Research at Mile Square will design, conduct and evaluate research as a principal investigator (PI), co-PI, or contributing research scientist. Clinical physician-Researcher will propose new lines of investigation to discover, create, and explore new opportunities in specific areas that include but are not limited to: Medicine, health disparities, pharmacology, quality assurance and patient safety. Clinical physician researchers will take a proactive role in obtaining external research funding and may contribute topical expertise in medical student, residency and community education. This expectation is that the physician will devote at least 65% time to clinical and 35% time to research activities. Duties & Responsibilities Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications MD or DO from an ACGME/AOGME accredited medical college. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine. MS or MPH preferred. Experience securing grant funding to support research. Experience in writing and preparing manuscripts and chapters for peer review journals and books. Established publication record in peer reviewed journals. Documented research experience in a community based setting.
