About this role

The Millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of rotating and stationary mechanical equipment. This includes equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, conveyors, gearboxes, and production machinery. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, precision alignment skills, and experience working in industrial or heavy-duty environments.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
  • Inspect mechanical components for wear, damage, and alignment issues.
  • Use precision tools such as laser alignment systems, dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or component replacements.
  • Fabricate or modify equipment and parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment when necessary.
  • Work closely with engineers, electricians, and other trades to complete equipment installations or upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent using CMMS or job tracking systems.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and rigging procedures.


Requirements:



  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial, mechanical maintenance, or field service role.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with rigging, hoisting, welding, and mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in industrial settings.


  • Experience with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.).
  • Certifications in welding, rigging, forklift operation, or confined space entry.
  • Familiarity with vibration analysis or predictive maintenance tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field service work.
