Overview

Astrion is seeking a Mid-Level Sensor Engineering Integration Support Specialist in the Washington D.C. area.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the government systems engineering lead on a wide range of sensor engineering and integration lines of effort.
  • Responsible for assisting with the integration of sensor technologies into enterprise system architectures.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 3 years of systems engineering experience in Navy programs or 5+ years of experience in applied systems engineering
  • Knowledge of integration of components within a system or a system of systems
  • Knowledge of developing systems that meet requirements for military use
  • Knowledge of network-centric architectures, data fusion algorithms, and advanced signal processing techniques (e.g. ISA, ICBS, C2BMC, and Space-Based Open Architectures) and using the engineering processes of combining data from multiple sensors of different types (like radar, infrared, acoustic) into an integrated and interoperable sensor architecture
  • Ability to use engineering principles to integrate sensors into an interoperable network by leveraging various data fusion techniques, cross-domain solutions, network-centric operations, signal processing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML).
  • Experience developing comprehensive frameworks for integrating various sensors into network-centric systems supporting "left-of-launch" sensor and data integration, connecting "best sensors" to "any shooters" in a joint environment.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Navigation, or Electrical disciplines
  • Experience in the INDOPACOM AOR
  • Technical background based on experience with sensor integration programs across multiple different agencies (NRO, NGA, ODNI, AF RCO, etc.)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and experience with special access programs
